MD's Message

Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd. was born in 1980 in an effort to promote wildlife tourism and to attract Indians, as well as foreign tourists, to natural destinations in Karnataka. JLR has been a pioneer in Ecotourism during a time when the industry was nascent and in its infancy. Now, JLR is the numero uno in the wildlife, eco and adventure tourism in India. In the year 1999, it was conferred with "the Best Eco-Friendly Tourism Organization" by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The company started with Kabini River Lodge, Karapura, which is rated as among the top five resorts by Tatlers, a British magazine. JLR has now grown to twelve eco-properties with commitment to educate visitors about India's Natural History by offering them a unique experience.

JLR also offers Ecotourism consultancy and training for various State governments and private property owners. Recently we have launched the JLR Naturalist Training Institute for people who are passionate about nature and wildlife. JLR strongly believes in eco principles and in converting its guests into ambassadors of Conservation. This new website is an attempt to bring people closer to nature and wildlife.
