Overview

Located on the northern fringe of the Rajiv Gandhi National Park, Kings Sanctuary is just an hours drive from Mysore and four hours from Bangalore. The reserve is home to a good population of tigers, leopards, Asiatic Elephants and Gaur along with several other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. The Kings Sanctuary will not disappoint the serious wildlife enthusiast or leisure travellers looking for luxury in an unspoilt natural environment.

Experience

Set in the midst of 40 acres of mango orchards and lush lawns and various other Indian and exotic fruit bearing plants and trees, the Kings Sanctuary has 24 air-conditioned luxury suites and cottages with imported handmade furniture’s from Thailand and Indonesia, a swimming pool, conference hall and a wide range of activities for both adults and children including the jungle safaris into the national park accompanied by naturalists. The Kings Sanctuary is an ideal resort for family vacations and corporate getaways.

Season

The best time to visit is just after the monsoons, between August and February, when the river is alive and the forest is thick and verdant. This is the best time for birdwatching as well – river terns, fishing eagles, wood peckers, kingfishers and other water birds flock here. During the other months, the water recedes and reveals wide sand banks, which are great for idling away the evening. The summer months (March – June) can be very warm, especially in the afternoon.

All request for cancellation of confirmed booking have to be received through email (Used while booking) or in writing if booked at our office in Bangalore.

10% of the booking amount, if cancelled 15 Days before check in date/time.

50% of the booking amount, if cancelled between 48hours to 14 Days before check in date/time.

No refund for no show & if cancelled less than 48hours before check in date/time.

Post/Preponement Policy:

Postponement / Preponement is free if requested 15 Days before check in date/time (Once postponed /preponed there is no further change or cancellation).

20% of the booking amount, if requested between 7 Days to 14 Days before check in date/time.

50% of the booking amount, if requested within 24hours to 7 Days before check in date/time.

Travel Tips

Dress for comfort. Do avoid bright colours and stick to muted shades of green, black, grey and brown. The more you meld with the background, the better.
