Born in Gaya, Bihar on the 21st March 1916, John who occupied a small portion of the former Viceregal Hunting Lodge at Kabini, passed away on April 26th, 2010. He was 94 when he passed away. John had been fortunate enough to spend a large part of his life and amid the forests and jungles of India.

Universally known as ‘Papa’ and loved by many, John is an example to, how hard work and enthusiasm enables one to overcome numerous obstacles without compromising with his principles.
